Obituary of Shirley A. Popolo

Popolo, Shirley A., 79, of Moxham, passed away October 8, 2016, at home. Born December 13, 1936, in Johnstown, daughter of Leroy and Ruth (Stakeman) Kinsey. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Carmen S. Popolo; an infant son; sisters, Ruth and Edith; and brothers, Walter, Harold, William, Elmer, Melvin and Edward. Survived by children, Louis Popolo, married to Susan (Weaver), Davidsville; John Popolo, married to Beverly (Hurlburt), Pittsburgh; and Lorraine, wife of Patrick McKissick, Moxham; grandchildren, Eric, Alison, Sabrina, Gianna and Antonio; great-grandchildren; and brothers, Irvin Kinsey, Johnstown, and Dwayne Kinsey, Portage. Shirley was the most wonderful mom in the world. She loved her kids and would do anything for them. She was such a sweetheart and an amazing mom. She loved bingo, basket parties, Black Friday shopping and listening to her Loretta Lynn CDs, also going out to eat, yard sales and flea markets. She was and always will be loved and missed dearly. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Walter Moll, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
